Hangin' at the Swings

Jack loves to swing. We took him to the park and put him in the infant swing buckets. The higher he went the louder he giggled. He is a swingin' fool.

Diaper Rash Blues

Jack got his first really, really bad diaper rash last week. In order to combat the irritation we went without a diaper for little spurts throughout the day. It wasn't too bad. I covered the floor with sheets and blankets. The little leap frog table got urinated on about 10 times though. Pee cleans up a lot easier than the other.....

Fort Walton Beach

Jack got to play in the sand with his cousin, Ellen, at the beach in Fort Walton. We met Grammy Jane, Papa Bill, Aunt Emily, and Uncle Brad and stayed at a really neat beach house on Seacrest beach. The surf was really high because of Ike so we couldn't swim in the ocean but we definitely played in the sand! The last day of our trip the waters were more calm and the babies got to splash around a little in the waves. Ellen just started walking and is a super crawler so she gave Jack a few tips. He is so close to crawling now!!

Grandma Brenda's visit

Grandma Brenda got to visit from Oklahoma this week while da da was in Japan. Jack thinks she is a ok. She taught Jack to give "high fives" and introduced him to the tooth brush. He has his very own purple tooth brush and some yummy tooth paste. Every night before bath time Jack gets to brush his two bottom teeth. He really seems to like it. Grandma Brenda also bought Jack some really cool new toys. Jack told me that Grandma Brenda is definitely welcome anytime!!

I can do it by myself!

We started giving Jack his juice in a small bottle that he can hold himself. We are trying to teach him how to tip it up but for now he lays down and drinks. He loves apple juice.

Jack's Tongue

Jack is teething and has started sticking his tongue out all the time now. He looked pretty cute sticking it out at his hand puppet, Wilbur.
