Dinosaur bones

We took to see the dinosaur exhibit at the museum. Compared to the tiny dino pictures in his books at home the fossils were a little overwhelming for Jack. He never cried but wanted one of us to hold him through most of the exhibit. Jack still busted out with several dinosaur "ROARRRR"s here and there.

Jack's play house

We converted a spare box into a play house for Jack. He thinks its really fun to hide inside his house. He even shuts the "door" for extra privacy. Jack also think the box makes a good garage for his laundry basket car. Arthur drives him around the house then parks Jack in his car in the garage. The possibilities are endless!

Surgery day for Jack

We took Jack to Texas Children's today for surgery to fix his non-descended testicle. The hospital is full of toys, fish tanks, and bright colors. The nurses even have bubbles to blow when they take the kids vitals before surgery. Jack got his very own pair of Texas Children's' pajamas. Grammie Jane and Papa came in town from Oklahoma for some extra help and support. Jack enjoyed snacks and cartoons post-op with Grammie on the couch. It seems that with a little pain medicine Jack is feeling fine.

Sun-N-Fun Waterslide

Arthur and I were really excited to introduce Jack to a Ponca City landmark, Sun-n-fun. Aunt Emily even worked at Sun-n-fun in high school as a life guard. The kids started off slowly in kiddie land and the kiddie slide but by the end of the visit had tried out almost all the rides in the whole park. Arthur, Emily, and I joked that we remembered the Rivercoaster, sun-n-fun's main attraction, as a much, much bigger water slide.

Trying out the tube at Ponca Lake

We took the kids down to Grammie Jane and Papa Bill's dock on Ponca Lake for a boat ride and to test out the new tube called Big Bertha. We think tubing may be more of a hit next year when the kids are a little older. They were brave this year and gave it their best shot. Jack didn't cry while we were "tubing" but there weren't many giggles either.

The Ponca duck pond

While visiting Arthur's family in Ponca City we took the kids to the duck pond. Arthur and I both fed quite a few ducks over the years growing up in Ponca City. The duck pond also has a fun park and play area. Jack even tried out swinging like big boy.

Bartlesville Kiddie Park round 2

I cannot believe how cool this kiddie park is! It's perfect for kids Jack's age. This time he was really brave and tried out the rocket ship ride. The rockets go in a circle AND up and down....very impressive. Another new ride this visit was the horse drawn carriage. Jack was a little unsure of his horse as you can tell by the picture. The semi-trucks and cars were a big hit just like last time we were at the park.
