Breckenridge 2010
Our annual ski trip with the Thomasons was a blast. We went back to Breckenridge again this year and got to stay in an amazing house that was just feet away from the gondola ride to the base of peak 7! Jack liked riding the gondola, playing with cousin Ellen, and trying out a hot tub for the first time. Also, we took Jack and Ellen to the Breckenridge Rec Center's indoor swimming pool. Most of the pool was only a couple feet deep with splash buckets which made it perfect for toddlers. During our stay Grammie Jane watched Jack and Ellen during the day so all the adults could ski... way to go Grammie!!
The snow at Breckenridge was a perfect mix of groomed slopes and powder.... a great week of skiing.

Takin' a baby to a bar!
Matt, Zoey, Jack, and I went to Scooters for lunch today. They have awesome jalapeƱo hamburgers! It was a little strange being at a pool hall with my toddler but the kids loved it. Its by far the most "kid friendly" place I have ever taken Jack to eat. Its like a park and restaurant all rolled into one!

Mom's birthday lunch
Arthur and Jack took me to Perry's in Clear Lake for my birthday lunch. It was so good! We all ate their famous Wed. special, a huge pork chop with special Perry's applesauce on the side. Jack loved the side of applesauce and mac-n-cheese. He wasn't too sure about the giant pork chop. Jack gave me really awesome birthday card with a "#1 mom" sticker inside. Arthur said that Jack spent a lot of time selecting just the right card. He seemed a little disappointed that he didn't get to wear the sticker though. :)

Visiting the Sea Center
Sea Center Texas is a marine aquarium, fish hatchery and nature center operated by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) in Lake Jackson. The center has a “touch tank” and aquariums showing native Texas habitats including a salt marsh, jetty, reef and open Gulf exhibits. The Gulf aquarium houses nurse sharks, large red drum, gray snapper, Atlantic spadefish, and the state record moray eel!
