Walter hosted a "dance party" today for all the friends in the Itty Bitty playgroup. We did the hokey pokey, bean bag boogie, animal attraction, and lots more. Jack took the theme of this party very seriously! Lots of dancing, rolling, jumping, and wiggling. He's got serious moves.

Swim Lessons
Here are a couple pictures of Jack at the Pearland Swim Academy. He loves swim lessons with coach Bret. It doesn't hurt that his buddies Ricky and Langdon are in the class too! They are learning to be "water strong" so lots of floating, kicking, and mastering the art of climbing out of the pool on their own.

Harvest and donation
Recently started volunteering at the Pearland Community Gardens. This was our last small harvest. The tomatoes are almost ready now. The plants look great! So far the group has been donating harvested veggies to the Christian Helping Hands organization. Next time we harvest I will take Jack to help pick. I think playing in the dirt is one of Jack's specialties.

Weekend adventure with Grandma and Grandpa
Grandma Brenda and Grandpa George stayed with Jack in Pearland while Arthur and I went to Kennedy Space Center in FL to watch the shuttle launch. Jack had lots of fun helping Grandpa with his chore list around the house. They installed a garden hose reel outside, put together Jack's lawn chairs, and planted a few flowers. In return Jack showed Grandma and Grandpa all the cool hang out spots around town. They visited Southdown splash park, chick-fil-a, and the giant fish tank at Bass Pro Shop. It was an action packed weekend.

Zoo mobile
The Houston zoo's Zoo-mobile came to the Wed. Animal Tales class and Jack got to check out some real live zoo animals. On the drive over I asked him what animals he thought the zoo-mobile would bring for the classroom he paused and then answered "lions". Thank god they decided on turtles and snakes for this trip.

Last day of Animal Tales
Jack loves going to see Ms. Marilyn in Animal Tales class. Each week they learn about a new animal, make a page about that animal for their "book", and then sing songs together. Today was the last class for this session so we put Jack's animal book together (his lion page is my favorite). Ms. Marilyn also brought animal cookies and juice for the class. Very fun.
