Bartlesville or bust!

Jack's second trip to Oklahoma and plane ride. He did great and slept most of the plane ride. At Grandma Brenda and Grandpa George's he got to check out their cool pool with a big boy slide!

These toys are hilarious

Yesterday was the first time Jack made himself laugh while he was playing. He was on the floor on the play gym mat while I was cooking in the kitchen. Some of his hanging chime toys were apparently ridiculously funny! He did it again today in his bouncer.

Eating 101

At 5 months Jack started trying a little rice cereal. I made it by grinding brown rice into a powder in our coffee grinder and then cooking it in some boiling for about 10 minutes. I usually add a little formula to make it soupy. Jack has also tried infant oatmeal cereal from a box. He is not really good at eating from a spoon yet but I think he prefers the oatmeal to homemade rice. I have sampled both and think the rice is better.

Flotation Device of Torture!

Jack's first boat ride was with our friends Charley, Louise, and Carson. They took us out on the Gulf of Mexico. Jack had fun, but as time went on he was upset that he and Carson were the only ones that had to wear a dorky life vest. The peak of his frustration is documented in this photo.

Best Buddies

Starting a couple weeks ago Jack discovered some new friends, his feet. Most of the time his round belly and bulky diaper get in the way of them hanging out. If he had it his way his feet would be a lot closer to his mouth!

The water was a little cold. Frank the Tank thought it was perfect drinking water temperature.

"Seriously, have you seem my blue shirt?"

Supersonic Wave

I'm Fast!!

Jack's first hair piece.

Since it is already getting really hot in the afternoons we have been taking bike rides after breakfast in the morning. Jack does great and usually falls asleep hunched over on his seat's bar on the way home.
