Jack's first day at Heritage

Jack started the Summer Care program at Heritage Christian Academy. He seemed excited to check out his new school and meet his teacher, Mrs. Vela. He was even kind enough to let me snap a couple pictures of the big day.

Miss Ann

Ann and her serious face....contemplating life and its meaning.

Baby sprinkle and lunch with the ladies

We hosted a baby sprinkle this Sunday. Lots of fun ladies attended to shower Gretchen with goodies for the little one on the way. I made homemade a carrot cake that I've been wanting to try and it turned out super yummy. Valerie's Baby Memory game was hilarious and really clever. Now only 4 or 5 weeks til we get to meet the new addition to the Riggs family!

Chore sheet and allowance

Jack started helping with "chores" around the house for a weekly allowance. He has 3 chores that must be completed everyday. He has to put his dishes in the sink after meals, feed Frank the Yorkie, and pick up the toys on his floor before bed. If all three tasks are accomplished then Jack gets to put a sticker on that day on his chore calender. If he has 7 stickers at the end of the week he gets his allowance of $2. He has done great so far. We are really proud of him.

Favorite toys

Ann's favorite toys right now are her blue bee with crinkly wings and bunny chime. She will bat and grab at them forever. She is really practicing up on her hand eye coordination so she can show off at her 4 month check up!

Great Grandma Smith

Jack and Ann's great grandma is always crafting and making things. She sends us homemade cards a lot. She is such a creative lady. This is her latest card that she sent to thank us for the pictures of the kids we mailed her. I love the red feather!

Hold that pose!

Jack, the amateur photographer, snapped these shots.

"Graduation" from Kiddie Kapers school

Jack's class, Kiddie Kapers, had a special graduation ceremony for the students today. He got to wear the cutest cap and gown and even got a diploma that shows he completed the Kiddie Kapers class with Ms. Marilyn. Afterward the park and recs program provided snacks.... coooookies!
