Little Drummer Boy

I was talking to Jack about his baby sister, Ann, tonight at dinner. I was telling him that she will be a baby and we have to take care of her. He said "mom, we won't hit her". I confirmed emphatically. Then he said "but wait mom, can we beat her like a drum"? He proceeded to act out a drum solo on the table with his hands. What!?!?? Ann may need a helmet for her first few months of life.

A couple quick shots from the Houston Astros game last weekend. Jack and his buddy Zerach were attentive fans... for about 5 minutes. :)

Splashin' at the zoo

We met our friends Luke and Mira at the zoo this morning. It was hot so the zoo's splash pad provided much needed relief. We got to see the new baby Meerkats and baby elephant, Baylor. As an added bonus we got to wish the Cheetahs happy 3rd birthday. They even had a special birthday banner.

Do not adjust your screen! This is in fact photographic evidence that Jack Arlo Thomason ate salad!! Black is white... up is down... WOW! However, we are debating whether or not his body will reject the lettuce as foreign material since its never encountered such food material before...

Tumbling class

If its a girl.....

I just bought these for the baby's nursery. We are borrowing Aunt Emily's pink polka-dot curtains and bed skirt. It will make a super cute and girlie space. If we find out its a boy next week... I'll be returning a few items!

Donation harvest from Community Garden

Jack helped me wash the veggies from the last Community Garden harvest. We'll take them to the food bank on Monday. The garden still has tons of okra, peppers, and newly planted pumpkins and tomatoes.

Visit to Ponca City

On our visit with to Ponca City we had so much fun spending time with Grammie, Papa, uncle Brad, aunt Emily, and cousin Ellen. Grammie made Jack and Ellen super hero capes. Jack's had dinosaurs on it and Ellen's was embroidered with princess'. We got to enjoy Grammie and Papa's dock at the lake and even got to test out the tube on the lake. The kids got to play in the sand at the new sandy beach on Ponca Lake. Uncle Brad snapped a picture of a giant snake that we saw in the water at the beach!
