Playing at the park

Ann and Jack love Morgan park. Lots of fun things to crawl around on and good hiding spots.

house update

Uncle George went with us this afternoon to check out progress on the house. He used his expert heating and air tech skills to inspect our air conditioning units. Looked like a good install to him.
The garage doors, cabinets, and wooden trim work were installed. The painters were eating lunch but had prepped everything to paint this afternoon. Next week we get the counter tops and plumbing fixtures.
Wood trim went in this week and the banisters are ready for rot iron.
The master bath potty room has a handy little ledge on the side.

Good day to stomp around in the water

We love this place! My favorite splash pad in Pearland. Lots of different water features close together, the on/off button for the water is easy for the kids to push, and the splash area is compact. Covered area around the edge of the splash area with bench seating. Also, its hardly ever crowded.

vintage cabinet

I found this cute cabinet at a Pearland antique store... dirt cheap too. Love it!

Nature walk

We took the kids to Tom Bass park to explore the nature trails and the creek. Jack's special finds were ant piles on the trail, a crawdad claw on the bank, and a few tadpoles hanging out in the water. Ann took it all in quietly and then had fun climbing up and down the super-twisty slide on the play equipment.

Check me out!

Our new home

The dry wall went up this week in the new house.
They will be putting up a banister at some point.

It is starting to look like a REAL house now. Jack was excited to see his bedroom and see how big his closet is. Apparently he's got big plans for that space...??

Easter morning

That sneaky bunny! He left Ann some new bath toys, sunglasses, and a sassy little frog stuffed animal.
Jack was really amped to open and inhale his chocolate cadbury egg. He also got a new monster toy and some bubble tape gum, his favorite.

Spring visit to Bartlesville

Jack and Ann colored easter eggs at Grandma and Grandpa's. Well Jack colored his eggs while Ann taste tested the egg coloring dye.
Grandpa George took us fishing on his boat. Jack enjoyed casting a few times then focused on throwing rocks and marbles into the water.

Not pictured was our fun afternoon with Grammie and Papa. We went to eat at our favorite Bartlesville spot, Frank and Lola's. The kids shared their awesome homemade mac-n-cheese and Papa and I shared their green chili burger.
Then walked down to the refurbished steam engine to do some exploring after lunch. It was an action packed weekend.
