downward spiral into chocolate mess

Jack really, really enjoyed his chocolate cupcake at Luke's birthday party. He even managed to get chocolate icing on his party hat!

Jack and the alligator

Even though it was raining out and kinda yucky our friend, Walter, and his mom met us at the zoo. It was soooo worth it because finally Jack made it to Wild Wheels when the animal of the day was something other than a TURTLE!!!! Jack got to touch a real live alligator today. His name was Orion and he was a little over a year old. Afterward, we met more friends and had lunch at Ruggles in Rice Village. We all shared a piece of domino cake after lunch and Jack managed to smear the chocolate cake everywhere. He looked like he'd been rolling in mud. I think he thoroughly enjoyed himself though.

Jack and Zoe

Jack's friend, Zoe, met him at Centennial park this afternoon. After the playground and some swing time Jack and Zoe shared snacks and raced around the pavilion. It was a pretty action packed day at the park.

Play date and race time

Jack's friend, Gabriel, hosted a play date this morning and it was tons of fun. About half way through the meet up the kids decided it was race time. They would line up at a wall and when we yelled "one, two, three, GO" they would sprint across the house as fast as humanly possible…..all the while giggling ad infinitum.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Jack was invited to a teddy bear picnic with some friends. We decided to take Leonard, the lion, instead of bear since Leonard was dying to show off his new perm hair-do. Jack had a great time eating snacks, hanging out with friends, throwing rocks at the ducks, and showing Leonard the park.

Tryin' to hide the good stuff in the bad stuff!

Here is one of my revamped comfort meals that are designed to deliver veggies in a secret fashion to Jack. It's the low sodium version of Jambalaya mix with turkey sausage and red pepper, carrot, zucchini, celery. He gobbles it up!

Our little Olympian

We've been feverishly working on Jack's Halloween costume for this year. After serious consideration Jack has decided on the Olympic swimmer Micheal Phelps. So far the costume is comprised of a white speedo, blue swim cap, and one "gold" medal. We just need a few more medals and his look will be complete! Can't wait!!
