Playdate

At the playdate today Jack really liked Luke's Leap Frog table. He was holding on and standing all by himself!

Introducing the "yuck" face

I made some green beans for Jack to eat and we quickly discovered these are not his favorite. We have a lot of beans so we are going to keep trying them...... I tried them myself and they are not that bad at all!

Sit up, not spit up

Jack is sitting on his own a lot better just in the past week. He is still slightly wobbly but can maintain for several minutes now or until there is a distraction (Frank the Tank running by). The better he gets at sitting up the less he is spitting up too! We all like this part. He is also more vocal and making new sounds... no words yet.

Twinkle Toes

I can't believe how little and cute his toes are!!! It is a little odd that they seem to all be the same length....

"Take it from the top!"

Jack taught Frank some new songs today. Clearly, Frank was not catching on as fast as Jack would like!

Happy Fathers Day!

Papa Bill got to visit on Fathers Day while in town for a meeting. Jack thought it was hilarious when Papa and dad dropped his cloth blocks on his tummy. Everytime they dropped the blocks Jack would die laughing!

You want me to sleep where uncle George?

Jack got to visit uncle George's new pad this weekend. He had a pretty good time except the bedroom was too bright for bedtime and Jack had to sleep in a smaller, darker space for part of the evening. We just told Jack it was a really tiny bedroom so he wouldn't know he was in uncle George's bedroom closet! You can see his blanket bed in the closet above.

Tot Spot

Jack and some of his buddies got to check out the Tot Spot at the Houston Children's Museum for the first time today. He did pretty good but still doesn't like to sit up on his own for very long. Since checking out the Tot Spot on your back or tummy is not that fun Jack's joy was short-lived. We will definitely give it another shot soon. Another issue with out trip today that Jack let me know about was his milk was packed on ice and he is not interested in drinking ice cold milk ever!
The last of the three pictures above is of Emily and her daughter Ruby. We met them at the Autumn Lake's homeowners crawfish boil last weekend. We were excited for them to join the Pearland Itty Bitty playgroup.

Sun-n-Fun

Jack had so much fun at his playdate in the Silverlake pool that he completely passed out in the stroller when I was getting him ready to go home. Above is also a picture of some of his buddies at the pool, Luke and Carlie.

I'm a baby food makin' machine!

Jack's first batch of baby food was a breeze! I made a tray of sweet potatoes and one of peas. They get steamed or boiled then pureed with formula in my food processor. Afterward I put them in ice cube trays that have snap-on lids. Also, Jack got to try pureed prunes in his oatmeal this morning. We are hoping these get things "moving".

Splash Park

Here is Jack with a few buddies from the Mommy Meet Up group we belong to. The ladies pictured are Amy and Valerie with their boys, Logan and Luke. We had just changed the babies out of their bathing suits and it was time to eat under the shade. Afterward Jack and I rode home on our bike and Jack fell asleep....
