Our flower beds

My flowers are really filling in great this year. The zincas and lantana came back from last year. Also, my neighbor, Rita, shared some of her iris clippings last fall and those are coming up nicely too. I planted some petunas, and zinnias this year. I think I will have better luck with the petunias after conditioning the soil this time. I mixed in some potting soil and mulch to loosen it up a bit. Thanks for the tip Grandpa George. Also, Jack's tomato plants are growing like crazy. We will have to transplant them to the ground soon.

How NOT to use a bumbo

Jack was happy to demonstrate the various unsafe ways to use a bumbo. He has invented some tricks.... x-treme bumboing.
Ann seems to like the bumbo the old fashioned way.

Southwyck splash pad

Jack had fun breaking in the splash pad at Southwyck today. Ann and I just relaxed on our blanket while Jack ran around like a mad man!

Annie Bear

Ann started smiling a lot more and now likes to reach and grab for her toys hanging from the baby playgym. Such a sweet little girl.

Easter dress up!

There is no optical illusion. Ann is completely devoid of a neck! :) I still think she looks cute in her little Easter outfit.

Disney on Ice

We took Jack to see Disney on Ice at Reliant on Sat. They were performing Toy Story 3 so Jack was super stoked. He got to try cotton candy for the first time and as usual was excited to ride on the metro rail.

Thanks Grammie Jane!! We love the quilt. Its perfect!

First dentist appointment

Jack did great at Dr. Watkin's office for his first dentist appointment. He enjoyed picking out his toothpaste flavor (raspberry), meeting "mr. thirsty", and selecting a toy from the treasure chest. What a big boy!

Bartlesville trip

After our visit to Ponca City we spent time with grandma and grandpa in Bartlesville. Jack colored some easter eggs for grandma and more egg hunting ensued. Practice makes perfect.

Ponca trip!

We met Aunt Emily, cousins Will and Ellen in Ponca City at Grammie Jane and Papa's house. It was Will and Ann's first plane trip and all did great. Ann slept almost the entire flight and Jack stayed entertained with his dvd player and lots of snacks. Grammie and Papa took us to their new YMCA for some swim time. We also went to the new Ponca Lake park and had lots of pre-easter egg hunts. Fun, fun, fun!
