BBQing with dad

We grilled out on Memorial Day and Jack helped Arthur get the bbq grill ready for our steaks. Mostly Jack just watched except for when he got to hold one of the matches which he promptly licked. It was unlit of course. Jack gives match sticks two thumbs down taste-wise. Also, Jack found a tiny, furry caterpillar on our flower pot. He even let it crawl on his arm. We made sure to return it to its flower home afterward. It probably never realized how close it came to getting licked!!

Pearland Luau

Some friends of ours invited us to a luau themed party at their house. It was a blast complete with hula hooping, Hawaiian leis, blowup flamingos, and key-lime ice cream (Jack's favorite part).

Train Ride

I took Jack to ride the little red choo choo train in Herman Park. The whole ride took about 20 minutes and perused the entire park area. Jack sat quietly on my lap for most of the trip and check out the scnenery. It was a fun afternoon and I am sure we'll go back with Arthur very soon.

Trucks and Cars

Recently, Jack is really into playing with his tow truck and cars. He pushes them around and makes cool "vrrrooomm" sounds. Also, he has employed the help of a few dinosaurs to chauffeur them around. It can really tire a fella out.

Hide and Seek

Before bed tonight Jack was very giggly and decided to play a little hide and seek from mom and dad. He would run down the hall, stand quietly, then sprint towards us laughing hysterically! It was pretty cute especially in pajamas.

Wild Wheels

The letter of the day at Wild Wheels was "R". We got to see the red panda, raccoon, road runner, and pet a rat. Afterward we walked around the kids area of the zoo and then had a picnic with a couple friends from the Itty Bitty group. Even though its only May it is super, super hot!

Broccoli two nights in a row!!

Finally, Jack ate some of his veggies with dinner! Last night he ate steamed broccoli and cauliflower with his spaghetti. Tonight it was salmon patties, steamed broccoli, and macaroni-n-cheese. There was even corn hidden in the salmon patties as a backup...

Why did it take soooo long?!?!

Mother's Day in College Station

Arthur, Jack, and I went to visit uncle George on Mother's Day. We had brunch at Square One, a restaurant that Arthur and I use to really like when we lived in College Station. Jack got to try bread pudding and gave it two thumbs up. Jack had a lot of fun playing with uncle George. George's plastic pears were quite a hit with Jack and he spent about an hour taking the pears out of the bowl and putting them back in. Next time we'll bring out swim suits and check out the pool!
